The Altoona Curve lost to the Akron Rubber Ducks 6-3 yesterday in Akron.
All six of Akron’s runs came in the first inning. Curve starter Bubba Chandler left the mound after two-thirds of an inning with a trainer in tow. Justin Meis entering the inning in relief allowed a grand slam to Dayan Frias.
The two teams will play again tonight, with Anthony Solometo to start for the Curve.
