The Heritage Conference Softball Championship Game was rained out last night at Northern Cambria. The game between Marion Center and Conemaugh Valley is rescheduled for Monday, either at Northern Cambria or at West Shamokin, which has a turf infield in case weekend rains make the Northern Cambria field unplayable. Gametime is yet to be announced.
WPIAL
Indiana ran into a flamethrower yesterday as Ligonier Valley’s Cheyenne Piper tossed a no-hitter and struck out 16 batters in a 7-0 non-section win for the Rams. Piper also had two hits. Sydnee Foust had three hits and drove in three runs for LV.
The WPIAL baseball and softball playoff brackets are scheduled to be announced at noon today.
