For the second day in a row, the NCAA transfer portal clipped the Pitt football program while the basketball program gained from it.
Quarterback Christian Veilleux and linebacker Solomon DeShields announced that they are entering the portal and will leave Pitt.
Jeff Capel’s basketball team got a verbal commitment from former Temple and Houston guard Damian Dunn. He’s a 6-5 grad student with one year of eligibility remaining. He played three years at Temple and transferred to Houston last season, averaging 6.4 points in 17.5 minutes per game.
