SOFTBALL
Indiana doubled up McKeesport, 6-3 as Olivia Zimmerman went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIS and Haley Hamilton had two hits. In the circle, Zimmerman struck out 11.
River Valley downed Homer-Center, 11-3. Tori Foust had three hits, including two doubles, and she drove in two. Speal, Buckles, Pynos, and Skirboll each had two hits for the Panthers. Ashlynn Kerr had three hits and Bekah Marshall had two for Homer-Center.
Marion Center blitzed Cambria Heights, 11-0. Lydia Miller had 3 hits with a home run, Kaily Anderson also homered. Macie Miller, Cheyenne Silvis, and Natalie Black each had two hits and Silvis struck out nine batters.
Northern Cambria beat Blacklick Valley 13-1 as Alyssa Yahner hit two triples and a double.
BASEBALL
Cambria Heights routed Marion Center, 11-0 behind home runs by Anthony Swander and Bryce Lewis. Swander stuck out seven Stingers to get the win.
West Shamokin beat Purchase Line, 11-1. Jude Olinger had three hits, including a double, and Logan Geist hit a home run. Seven Wolves batters walked in the game and three were hit by pitches.
River Valley topped Leechburg, 9-7. Gavin Burkhart hit a two-run home run and Merreck Smith, Hunter Riggle, and Chase Stuchall each had two hits.
TRACK & FIELD
In a big quad meet, United’s boys beat Kiski Prep 90-59. They also beat Blacklick Valley 122-28 and Penns Manor, 118-31. Kiski Prep downed Penns Manor 90-46. Blacklick Valley beat Penns Manor 88-52.
For the girls, United beat Blacklick Valley 119-29. The Lions also beat Penns Manor 103-46. Penns Manor topped Blacklick Valley, 70-63.
