IUP CLIPS LOCK HAVEN IN BASEBALL, GOLFERS WRAP UP FIRST TEAM TOURNAMENT

BASEBALL

Ricardo Aponte’s two-run single in the 10^th gave IUP a 9-7 extra inning road win over Lock Haven yesterday.  Aponte was 3-for-6 with a homer and 5 RBIs.  Saltsburg graduate Brady Yard had two hits and an RBI for IUP.

GOLF

IUP’s golfers finished 7^th yesterday at the Wingate’s Ralph Hargett Intercollegiate in Monroe, North Carolina.  Top three for IUP were Alex Swinnerton, who finished tied for 17^th, Aiden LeBlanc, tied for 36^th, and Shaun Fedor, tied for 48^th.
