The Indiana Area School Board does not meet as a whole tomorrow but two of its committees do, and the future of the Horace Mann Elementary School building is on the agenda for both.
The Outreach Committee meets at 5 o’clock, and will discuss a “Repurposing of Horace Mann Open House” event tentatively to be held April 2nd from 3 to 7 PM.
The Buildings, Grounds, and Transportation Committee will have a pre-meeting walk-through of the Ben Franklin Elementary, with a preview of the new intercom system. Then at their scheduled meeting at 5:30, they will review the Eisenhower addition/renovation project including change orders totaling as much as $130,000. They will discuss the Horace Mann repurposing and the open house, hear a presentation on roof work needed at the Junior High building, and get an ESCO lighting study update.
Other committee topics include discussion of stadium poles and lighting replacement, daycare expansion and a science classroom upgrade at the Senior High, and the auxiliary building at East Pike.
