Pitt’s Blake Hinson yesterday was named first-team All-ACC, while Bub Carrington made the All-Rookie team in the conference and Ishmael Leggett is the Sixth Man of the Year.
Coach Jeff Capel finished second behind North Carolina’s Hubert Davis for Coach of the Year, just one season after Capel won the award.
In addition to Hinson, the rest of the All-ACC first team includes North Carolina’s R.J. Davis (who is also the ACC Player of the Year), Duke’s Kyle Filipowski, Clemson’s P.J. Hall, and Wake Forest’s Hunter Sallis.
The ACC Tournament begins today. Pitt will play Thursday afternoon against either Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, or Wake Forest.
