After a prolific freshman season at Mount Aloysius, Homer-Center grad Molly Kosmack was named Region 7 Co-Rookie of the Year by D3hoops.com on Tuesday.
Kosmack led Mount Aloysius with 18.9 points and 13 rebounds per game while shooting 64.6 percent from the floor. In addition to those three stats, she led the conference with 68 blocks, which helped her win Defensive Player of the Year.
She also earned three postseason conference awards, including Defensive Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and All-AMCC First Team honors. Her Defensive Player of the Year award was the first time it was won by a Mountie women’s basketball player.
