BASKETBALL
Sites and times are set for the three area teams moving forward into the PIAA state basketball tournaments.
Second round action will get underway tomorrow night with Marion Center’s girls playing Montrose at Milton High School, north of Harrisburg in Northumberland County. That’s about a 150-mile bus trip for the Stingers. Montrose will travel about 96 miles to get there.
We’ll have that game, tipping off at 6:30, on Cat Country 106.3 FM.
The Indiana girls will play on Wednesday at 6:30 against McKeesport at Gateway High School, on WDAD.
A big break for the West Shamokin boys in their second round game. They will travel only a few miles down Route 85 to play Redbank Wednesday at 7 PM at Armstrong High School.
WRESTLING
At the PIAA Double-A wrestling championships in Hershey over the weekend, Indiana’s Nico Fanella placed third in the state, defeating Logan Stewart of Reynolds High School, 3-2 at 127 pounds.
