The Pittsburgh Pirates split the squad yesterday to play two games.
In their match against Atlanta, the Pirates and Braves played to a 6-6 tie. Edward Olivares had two runs on four hits on the day.
Meanwhile, Andrew McCutchen hit his first homer of Spring Training to help propel the Pirates to a 6-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins in Bradenton. Ke’bryan Hayes also had a homer in the game with Jason Delay, Matt Frazier and Jake Lamb picking up RBI’s.
The Pirates play the Detroit Tigers today.
