State police have released the identity of the woman who allegedly hit a sheriff’s patrol vehicle during an incident Thursday morning in Coral.
Troopers say 27-year-old Tianna Renee Deyarmin was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault; misdemeanor counts of fleeing or eluding police, initiating a foot chase, and criminal mischief; and a summary charge of driving on a suspended license for the incident along Route 119 South shortly before 9 AM.
While deputies with the Indiana County Sheriff’s Office assisting a man reportedly in distress inside a truck along the road, Deyarmin entered the driver’s side and was recognized by an assisting trooper who knew she had active arrest warrants. While they confirmed her identity with dispatch, Deyarmin fled the scene and initiated a car chase along Beech Street. During the chase, Deyarmin allegedly drove through several yards and hit a fence. Police say she also struck a patrol cruiser while driving in reverse.
The chase continued onto Power Plant Road and ended after Deyarmin drove into a grassy area, at which time she and the unnamed man jumped out of the truck and fled on foot. Troopers caught up with them at a nearby home and Deyarmin was taken into custody.
Charges were filed through District Judge Susanne Steffee’s office and Deyarmin was taken to Indiana County Jail to await arraignment.
No charges are pending against the man.
