Pitt cruised to an 88-73 win over Florida State last night, the Panthers’ 20th win of the season. Blake Hinson scored 27 points and set Pitt’s single-season record for three-pointers, knocking down six of them to bring his total to 104. Freshman Jaland Lowe added 17 points and ten assists.
The win was especially important for Pitt because Syracuse and Wake Forest both lost last night, allowing the Panthers to jump up into a tie with Clemson for fourth place in the ACC. The top four in the conference will earn a double-bye in the ACC tournament. Pitt will close the regular season at home Saturday against North Carolina State.
