Along with the explosion that was reported yesterday, some fire crews were busy with other calls, but one reported structure fire turned out to be something small.
At 3:39, Indiana County 911 reported a structure fire at a home along McIntyre Lane in Brush Valley Township, and dispatched Brush Valley, Homer City, Armagh and Coral-Graceton fire departments along with the RIT team and Citizens’ Ambulance. When Brush Valley firefighters arrived, they found out that the structure fire was nothing more than a stove fire that set off a fire alarm in the house.
Brush Valley fire crews remained on-scene to check for hot spots while the other fire departments were cancelled en route.
Rossiter Fire Department was called out twice last night to assist EMTs in incidents on Central Street in Canoe Township at 8:34 PM and at 1:15 this morning.
