The Pitt Panthers’ hopes of making the NCAA Tournament may come down to an end-of-season push in their final two ACC games, and a solid run in the conference tournament. Pitt ends its regular season with homes games tonight against Florida State and Saturday against NC State.
Senior Blake Hinson says the prospect of making the NCAA Tournament doesn’t bring any extra pressure for the Panthers.
Hinson says the Panthers aren’t focused on making the tournament, just on winning basketball games.
At 10-8 in the ACC, Pitt is tied with Clemson for fifth place but the Tigers have the tiebreaker. The top four will get a double-bye in the ACC Tournament next week. Florida State is a game behind Pitt and NC State is a game-and-a-half back.
Pitt/Florida State tips off at 9 o’clock tonight. It airs on WCCS beginning at 8:30.
