The 15th brush fire of the year was reported along Cribbs Road in Washington Township around 1:23 PM. It initially brought our Elderton Fire Department, with Creekside firefighters called in six minutes later to assist. Creekside Fire Chief Cody Hitchings described it as a “small fire” that affected approximately a 20-by-50 foot area. Additional details are forthcoming.
Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments were called to set up a landing zone for a medical patient along Colony Boulevard in Burrell Township around 11:07 AM.
Plumville firefighters were called to neighboring Armstrong County for an automatic fire alarm long East Grant Avenue, and Iselin-West Lebanon Fire Department handled a gas leak along Blackleggs Road in Young Township around 9:30 AM.
