Officials with Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium are warning customers about a scam that promises to give away discounted tickets on social media.
In a Facebook post, officials say a scam is affecting zoos across the nation, in which a social media post falsely promises to sell four tickets to customers at a discounted rate. In some cases, the asking price is less than $7.
Customers are reminded that any information regarding discounted tickets will come directly from the Pittsburgh Zoo’s official website, and to not click any links or give any personal information. If you see a post that fits this description, you are asked to report it immediately.
