A Homer City woman pleaded guilty on Monday in Westmoreland County Court to charges connected with the thefts of catalytic converters in both Indiana and Westmoreland Counties.
56-year-old Debbra McAdams entered guilty pleas to charges of theft, receiving stolen properties, criminal mischief and criminal use of a communications facility, while other charges filed against her will not be prosecuted. She along with William Glover III from New Florence, Steven Aukerman of Blairsville, and Vince Skillings of Jeanette were arrested in connection with a string of thefts between September and November of 2022 that resulted in losses of roughly $115,000. State police accused McAdams of planning the thefts and being the driver in the string of thefts.
Both Glover and Aukerman pleaded guilty and have been sentenced in this case, with Glover ordered to serve six to 23 months in Westmoreland County Jail, while Aukerman will serve nine to 23 months in Westmoreland County Jail. They will also each serve five years of probation after their release. Skillings case remains pending.
