The District 6 basketball playoffs get underway tonight, with several Heritage Conference teams ready to go this week.
Tonight, number 10 Homer-Center visits 7th seed United in a girls’ Double-A matchup. The winner will play Portage on Thursday. You’ll hear the game tonight on WCCS, 101.1 FM and 1160 AM.
The Purchase Line girls travel to Bishop Guilfoyle tonight in Class A.
Only one Heritage Conference team is in action tomorrow. That’s the Portage boys, who will host Bishop Carroll.
Wednesday will be a big day for Boys Double-A. United will travel to Claysburg Kimmel, Homer-Center will visit Northern Cambria on WCCS and Renda Digital TV. Marion Center is at West Shamokin on Cat Country 106.3 FM.
Thursday will feature girls’ games in Double-A and Triple-A. In Double-A, Marion Center makes the long trek to Southern Huntingdon. Portage will play the winner of tonight’s Homer-Center/United game, and Penns Manor will host Bellwood Antis.
In Triple-A, River Valley’s girls will welcome Central Martinsburg.
The first round concludes with a boys Triple-A game on Friday. River Valley will visit Westmont Hilltop.
Semifinal action starts Saturday for girls Class A and boys Double-A.
In the WPIAL, the Indiana girls will host Moon Area tomorrow night on WDAD.
