Coach Mike Sullivan says that kind of effort just doesn’t cut it.
Sullivan says he is constantly looking for ways to snap the Penguins out of a season-long funk.
Jake Guentzel left the game at 8:02 of the third period with an undisclosed upper body injury. Sullivan said he’s being evaluated and had no word on how much time Guentzel could miss.
The Pens play the Blackhawks, who have the worst record in hockey, in Chicago tonight. It’s a 7:30 airtime, with faceoff just after 8:30 on 92.5 FM U92.
