This morning, Indiana County Commissioners voted to abstain on a decision concerning an opioid lawsuit.
The lawsuit involves Endo Pharmaceuticals’ request to get releases concerning members of their board of directors and corporate executives. Bob Marcus, who is representing the county in the opioid lawsuits says that that an abstention vote will allow them to keep all options open down the road.
In other business, the board of commissioners approved a three-year memorandum of understanding with the UMWA concerning sergeants at the Indiana County Jail. The agreement provides for 4% salary increases over the three years and allows for the sergeants to receive the same benefits as correctional officers.
