The United School Board received good news regarding their audit for the 2023-24 school year at their meeting Tuesday night.
The report was presented by Kotzan CPA and Associates and it showed a clean bill of financial health for the district. Board member Aaron Conway credited the clean audit to the efforts of the district’s finance department.
In other business, the board unanimously approved the ARIN Intermediate Unit operating budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year. The budget comes to $3,664,707 with United’s share coming to $34,310. Conway said the board felt the number was acceptable and no further discussions will take place.
The board also approved the retirements of faculty members Julie Smith and Robert Penrose which will go into effect at the end of the year. Both have served the district for 23 and 31 years, respectively.
