A preliminary hearing is scheduled for a woman charged with hurting a child in an incident last December.
Court documents show that the hearing for 28-year-old Amber Jones of Indiana will be held today at 1:00 PM in front of District Judge Anthony Sottile. She is charged with aggravated assault of someone under the age of 13 and child endangerment in connection with an investigation by the Indiana Borough Police department. A police report said the child, less than a year old, allegedly suffered an injury after being in contact with Jones at a location in the 200 block of Nixon Avenue.
Meanwhile, Plea and sentencing hearings are scheduled for Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas for several incidents, including one for Orbin Boring of New Florence. He is charged with theft, receiving stolen property, trespass by motor vehicle and criminal trespass related to the incident on April 21st of last year.
