Indiana Borough Police officers announced Friday afternoon that they will hold a women’s self defense and safety seminar next week.
The seminar will educate participants on safety misconceptions, situational awareness and safety strategies. It will also teach participants about heightened public awareness efforts, mental preparedness and security. Two guest speakers are expected to present during the seminar as well. Those are Rhonda Fiechuk, Damsel Director for Damsel in Defense; and Kelly Pidgeon, founder of Armed and Feminine.
The seminar will be held next Saturday, February 10, from 4-6 PM at the George E. Hood Municipal Building. Space is limited and those interested in attending can RSVP by calling 724-465-6653, or by emailing contact-us@indianaboro.com.
