With work continuing to finalize a tentative contract with APSCUF, its faculty union, the State System of Higher Education has reached a tentative contract agreement with another labor union. A new four-year deal has been worked out with the State College and University Professional Association, also known as “SCUPA”.
SCUPA represents about 700 professional employees providing student services in admissions offices, financial aid, residence life, career services, and within registrars’ offices. The deal will take effect upon approval first by the union members, then the State System. Terms will be announced upon ratification.
There is still no announcement on the final form of an agreement in principle with APSCUF faculty. Coach negotiations are scheduled to resume on Wednesday.
