The search for the next Offensive Coordinator continues as they interviewed Houston Texans QB coach Jerrod Johnson.
That announcement came Friday. The 35-year-old spent an offseason and training camp with the Steelers as their No. 4 quarterback in 2012 and was briefly part of five other NFL teams as a player but never got into a regular-season game. During his only season with the Texans Johnson presided over the rookie season for Houston’s C.J. Stroud, who is up for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Stroud had 4,108 passing yards, a 23-to-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio and 100.8 passer rating in leading the Texans to the AFC South title.
