A Johnstown man was convicted by an Indiana County jury yesterday of drug-related charges that stemmed from a traffic stop in 2020.
Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi said that 35-year-old Tramale Lockett was found guilty of driving under the influence of marijuana and simple possession. On June 28th of 2020, police were informed of someone driving erratically. State police initiated a traffic stop to investigate the cause of the erratic driving and encountered Lockett. A legal blood draw was conducted and testing concluded that he was under the influence of marijuana from recent use.
Assistant DA Jennifer Westrick represented the state during this case. Sentencing is scheduled for April 1st, but a pre-sentence report must be completed by then by the county’s Adult Probation Department.
