WHAT WE FIRST REPORTED:
Fire crews are currently battling a fire in East Wheatfield township.
Initial scanner reports around 4:45 this morning said that the fire was at a home at 1313 Fox Road in East Wheatfield Township, just outside of the village of Clyde. Clyde and Armagh-East Wheatfield fire departments were initially dispatched, along with Brush Valley, Seward, New Florence and Bolivar fire departments. First reports say that there was at least one person trapped in the home at the time. Township crews were also called out to salt the roads at the scene.
This marks the third fire call in the last 24 hours. The first one was at 3:14 yesterday as a structure fire was reported on North 9th Street in Indiana Borough. Indiana Fire Association, Creekside, Homer City and Clymer fire departments along with the county hazmat team were dispatched.
The other fire was a flue fire on Mitchell Hill Road in East Wheatfield Township. Armagh Fire Department was called out at the time.
