Temperatures in the Indiana County area remain in the single digits early this morning, and that in turn has caused some school delays.
The National Weather Service’s wind chill advisory remains in effect until noon today, and with the low temps this morning, wind chills are expected to bring the feels-like temperature down to fifteen degrees below zero at the most. This means that frostbite or hypothermia could set in if people are not properly prepared for the conditions.
The warning says that people should dress appropriately for the cold conditions, and that includes a coat, hat and gloves. Waterproof boots should also be considered for any outdoor work like shoveling snow.
