Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. day, a day that celebrates the birth of the civil rights activist. As today is a national holiday, there are some closures in effect.
Federal, State and County offices are closed for today. This includes PennDOT driver’s license centers and all county court offices. Post offices are closed for the day as well and there will be no regular mail delivery. Many banks are closed for the day, but online services are still being offered today.
As far as schools go, all schools in the county are closed for a staff in-service day, including the Indiana County Technology Center. Indiana County’s Head Start will be open today, as will the Little Seedlings and Little Sprouts in Homer City. ARIN intermediate unit offices are open today as well.
