PennDOT announced that the application period is open for some internships throughout District 10.
The paid internships are being offered to college students and non-students to gain hands-on experience. Programs seeking interns are the STAMP program, which offers experience working independently with a two-person crew inspecting drainage, shoulder drop-offs, pavement conditions and guide rails for damage along state roads; the PennDOT Highway Archaeological Survey Team which works in researching the management, study and preservation of archaeological site and historic resources impacted by transportation projects; and engineering internships. There is also a summer employment program open for both students and non-students.
People can apply for the internships at www.Employment.pa.gov. Student internships and positions can be found by clicking on the “intern and apprenticeship” box, while non-student internships can be found by clicking on the “Open Jobs” box.
