The National Weather Service is placing a section of Pennsylvania under a High Wind Warning later tonight, and some of it affects portions of Indiana County.
The warning will go into effect at 1 AM and run until 7 PM tomorrow. It is expected to bring winds ranging from 25 to 35 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 60 miles per hour. Winds are expected to blow down trees and power lines, and officials with the National Weather Service say power outages are expected and travel will be difficult.
Residents are advised to stay in the lower level of homes during the windstorm and to avoid windows. They are also asked to watch for falling debris and tree limbs, and to use caution if traveling.
