One person was charged following a crash Thursday evening in Indiana Borough. Police say they responded to the 200 block of Philadelphia Street around 9:14 PM for a crash involving two vehicles. Witnesses told police that a Chrysler 300 crossed over into the opposite lane of traffic and collided with another car before driving over a curb and hitting a parked vehicle.
Officers say they found the driver, 65-year-old Thomas Tyger of Indiana, under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and taken to IRMC for treatment of injuries. Charges of DUI, careless driving, and driving on the wrong side of the road were filed through Magisterial Judge Tony Sottile’s office.
