The Pens did get some good news at practice yesterday as Bryan Rust and Jesse Puljujavari rejoined the team.
Rust did practice with a neck guard on as an additional safety measure in light of the death of former Pens forward Adam Johnson. Rust has been out the last eight games with an undisclosed injury. Meanwhile, Jesse Puljujavari is a tryout invitee, who took the ice with the team for the first time since accepting the tryout opportunity on December 10th.
Forward Radhim Zohorna was withheld from practice with an undisclosed illness.
The Pens are back home at PPG Paints Arena tonight for the first of back-to-back games to round out 2023. Tonight’s game is a matchup against the St. Louis Blues and that starts at 6:00 with the pre-game show on U-92.5 FM, with faceoff around 7:00.
