The final Powerball lottery game for 2023 is set for this Saturday, and the jackpot will be at a near-record high for the drawing.
The numbers from last night’s drawing were 4-11-38-51-68 with a Powerball of 5 and a power play of 2. According to the company behind the multi-state lottery game, no one hit all five numbers and the Powerball in Wednesday’s drawing, so the jackpot will roll over to an estimated $707 million annuity or a $359.9 million cash prize.
Last night’s jackpot went up to $700 million from the estimated $685 million due to high ticket sales on the day of the lottery. The last time the Powerball was won was on October 11th, with that winning ticket sold in California. While there were no jackpot winners, a ticket sold in Texas had matched all five regular numbers and had the power play add-on to give them a $2 million prize. Another ticket that matched the five regular numbers, but did not have the power play, was sold in California and was worth $1 million.
