HOCKEY
With the exception of holiday basketball tournaments tipping off tonight, most area high school sports are still on a hiatus due to the holiday break. One team looking to carry momentum into the new year is the Indiana High hockey team.
The Little Indians are 10-2-1 and riding a seven-game winning streak heading into 2024, which marks their best start since the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season, when they went undefeated on route to a Penguin Cup title.
Senior Phil Bell is fifth in goals across the Class A Gold division with 15. Fellow senior Ash Lockard is seventh with 13. Goaltender Luke Rowe is tied for second in wins with seven, while coming in seventh in shots saved (213).
Indiana returns to S&T Bank Arena Thursday, January 4th to battle Kiski Area on Renda Digital TV.
