Only three cases are on the docket for today in Indiana County’s court of common pleas, two of which involve people currently in the prison system. One of them is Edward Robert Ortiz of Indiana currently serving a sentence at SCI-Forest for firearm, drug and DUI charges. In the case he is involved with today, he is charged with two counts of aggravated harassment by a prisoner, and single counts of harassment, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct for an incident in June of 2022. He will be in court today for a plea hearing.
Also due for plea court today is Edward Aponte of Huntingdon who is charged with aggravated and simple assault along with harassment for an incident on July 18th of this year.
And Craig Linder III of Indiana is due in court today to withdraw his guilty plea to charges manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver for a case that goes back to January of 2022. He was originally charged with possession of a controlled substance by an inmate, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to deliver. He originally entered his guilty plea on October 20th of this year.
