In Heritage Conference girls action last night, Penns Manor visited Purchase Line and sprinted away from the Red Dragons. Todd Marino has the wrap.
Marion Center downed West Shamokin 61-50 as Lydia Miller scored 23, and Mya Lipsie and Macie Miller each had 10. The Stingers came close to having five girls in double figures, as Brynnley Haggerty and Natalie Black each had 8.
A 21-4 first quarter propelled River Valley to a 59-31 win over Homer-Center. Ava Persichetti scored 25 points and Emilee Staats added 14 for the Panthers. Ashlyn Kerr had 11 for the Wildcats.
United drubbed Northern Cambria, 63-25.
Conemaugh Township beat Conemaugh Valley 43-37.
Portage topped Cambria Heights, 48-31.
WRESTLING
Indiana dropped a Section match to Derry, 39-24. Indiana winners were Hunter Williams, Connor Sevajian, Nico Fanella , Carter Putt, and Will Turner.
