At their meeting Wednesday night, the White Township Supervisors passed the 2024 budget with no tax increase.
The final draft came out to $9,737,780 in revenues and $11,769,631 in expenditures, resulting in a deficit of $2,031,851. Township Manager Chris Anderson said changes were made after additional numbers came in.
Anderson adds it is a project-heavy budget, so the township used state funding to balance the budget.
In other business, supervisors set their annual reorganization meeting for January 2 at 1 PM. They also approved holding one meeting next month, which will be January 17 at 1 PM.
Lastly, Wednesday’s meeting marked the final one for Eugene Gemmell following 25 years of service. He was presented with a plaque and certificate of service from chairperson Gail McCauley.
