INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana man following an incident November 19. Officers say they responded to the 600 block of Carter Avenue for reports of an erratic and possibly intoxicated driver in a white pickup truck around 2:15 PM. They located the truck after it crashed into a wall and found the driver, 32-year-old Alex Hinesly, under the influence of alcohol to a degree where he was unfit to drive. He was arrested and taken to IRMC for a blood draw and treatment of injuries from the crash. He was charged via criminal complaint for DUI at a high rate of speed and several summary traffic violations.
An Indiana man was charged following an incident of theft that happened November 28th at the Hadley Union Building on IUP’s campus. Officers were summoned between 9:40 and 9:45 p.m. for a report of a man who entered a gaming room and took a console before leaving the building. Following an investigation, police determined 19-year-old Alexander Cummins allegedly took the system. He was charged with theft by unlawful taking through Magisterial Judge Guy Haberl’s office.

State police have charged two men from Black Lick with harassment following an incident Tuesday evening in Burrell Township. Troopers say they responded to an incident at 64 Cripps Street around 12:30 AM and found 23-year-old Charles Smith and 24-year-old Nathaniel Raypush were involved in an argument that turned physical. Both were cited for harassment.
