The River Valley girls stepped out of conference Monday night and defeated Greater Johnstown, 67-53.
The Panthers led by 3 after one quarter, but the Trojans had a four-point lead at the half, which they extended to six before River Valley’s press created six straight turnovers, which erased the deficit. The Panthers led by one heading into the fourth and won it going away with a 20-11 fourth.
Ava Persichetti scored 25 points to lead all scorers. Rylee Kitner added 15 and Alessia Lamantia had 10 for River Valley.
