The Marion Center School Board will meet tonight for a combined work session and voting meeting, and on the agenda is a resolution connected with the 2024-25 budget.
Like many other school districts, the Marion Center School Board will take up tonight a resolution to not raise taxes above the state-mandated Act 1 tax index, which for the district is 7.5 percent. The Act 1 index is set by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
The board will also look to hire a speech and language clinician, three instructional aides and to enter into a one-year agreement with the Marion Center Area Education Association for July 1 of 2024 to June 30th of 2025.
The meeting will be held tonight at 7:00 PM in the Library of McCreery Elementary.
