The Indiana School Board will hold a special meeting tonight to install a new board member.
The resignation of newly elected board member Patrick Schneider was approved at a meeting on the 4th of December, and with him stepping down, the board must appoint a new member. According to the draft agenda for tonight’s meeting, seven people have submitted cover letters and resumes to the district to take Schneider’s post. The board will discuss the candidates and then decide based on majority vote by the board. The person who is named to the board will fill Schneider’s seat until the first Monday of December in 2025.
Also on tonight’s agenda is the approval of committee meeting dates, and alternate representatives for the Technology Center Operating Committee and for the ARIN Intermediate Unit.
The meeting starts at 5:30 tonight at the district board room and will also be streamed through the district’s website.
