The Indianapolis Colts fell behind 13-0 to the Steelers yesterday, but then dominated Mike Tomlin’s crew the rest of the way, scoring 30 straight points for a 30-13 win. The Colts have won five of their last six games while the embarrassed Steelers have lost three in a row. The Steelers’ offense was inept again, the defense took another day off, and the special teams, especially punter Pressley Harvin III, were awful.
Gardner Minshew completed 18 of his 28 pass attempts for 215 yards and three touchdowns for the Colts. Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson shredded the Steelers’ run defense for 157 yards. D.J. Montgomery, Mo Alie-Cox and Zack Moss each caught a touchdown.
Mitch Trubisky started under center for the Steelers and threw for 169 yards, a touchdown and two picks. He also scored on a one-yard run and was pulled for Mason Rudolph as the Colts threw the ball down the field while the Steelers rarely attempted a pass more than five yards long.
Tomlin summed up another humiliating loss.
After the Bengals defeated the Vikings in overtime yesterday, the Steelers are last in the AFC North at 7-and-7.
