Both of the Steelers starting outside linebackers are now clear to play tomorrow afternoon against the Colts in Indianapolis. Alex Highsmith cleared concussion protocol yesterday and was a full practice participant. TJ Watt was cleared on Wednesday.
Wide receiver Diontae Johnson, running back Najee Harris, defensive lineman Cam Heyward and Keeanu Benton, inside linebacker Elandon Roberts, and cornerback James Pierre are also all ready to play despite suffering a variety of injuries. Guard Isaac Seumalo did not practice again yesterday and his status is listed as questionable.
With all of the talk this week about the tight AFC Wild Card race, TJ Watt says the term “must-win” is not really relevant.
Watt says the Steelers to a man are focused on playing at the top of their game.
Veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson says the Steelers can’t worry about what other teams in the playoff race are doing.
Peterson says coach Mike Tomlin has emphasized one of his favorite expressions…”control the controllables.”
There are two other NFL games on Saturday. The Vikings and Bengal kick off in Cincinnati at 1, then the Steelers and Colts play at 4:30, with the Broncos visiting the Lions in Detroit at 8:15.
Steelers pregame begins on WDAD tomorrow at 2:30.
The other games in the AFC North include the Bears visiting the Browns on Sunday afternoon and the Ravens traveling to Jacksonville to play the Jaguars Sunday night.
