The Penguins got a well-deserved day off yesterday as they rested up for a game tomorrow night in Toronto. The Pens won on back-to-back nights this week, knocking off the Coyotes in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night and the Canadiens in Montreal on Wednesday. The win over the Canadiens was especially exhausting, coming after a scoreless overtime and in a 12-round shootout, their longest ever and the longest in the NHL since 2016.
With no practice, there were no updates on injured Pens. The Pens have five injured players not yet ready to return. Defenseman Chad Ruhwedel has been a full practice participant and is eligible to return from the injured list tomorrow. Forward Rickard Rakell is also eligible to come back tomorrow but does not appear ready yet based on his lack of practice time. Forwards Matt Nieto, Noel Acciari, and Bryan Rust are also out.
Penguins airtime tomorrow night is 6 o’clock on 92.5 FM U92.
