The Teddy Bear Fund Drive collection week wraps up today at the 700 Shop in Downtown Indiana, and it’s expected to be a big day for donations.
Thursday’s collection efforts netted $2,709 that will go towards funding child healthcare at IRMC and Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, and it brings the four-day total to $8,541. Today is also Match Friday, which means there are several matching donations. Notable ones include $1,000 from Rosebud Mining Company and $500 from the Graceton-Coral Sportsman’s Club. Other matches and donations will be announced during the day.
Deana Szentmiklosi with IRMC said even though the hospital doesn’t have an official pediatrics department, the medical staff sees a lot of children come through for treatment.
Donations can be dropped off between now and 5 PM at the 700 Shop. Those unable to make it can mail a check to our Renda Media studios with it made out to the Teddy Bear Fund Drive. Your Hometown Radio Stations will also broadcast from the 700 Shop throughout the day both on-air and on Facebook.
