GIRLS BASKETBALL
Indiana opened Section play with a 49-37 win over Penn Hills last night, breaking the game open with a 19-0 run in the second quarter after a 10-10 tie at the end of one. Cassie Boyer scored 12 points and Bella Antonacci and Laken Kugler each had 10 for the 4-1 Indians.

Marion Center raced past Purchase Line, 51-17. Lydia Miller led the way with 14 points and Mya Lipsie added 9 for the Stingers. Macie Miller had 8 points and 9 steals.
Four girls hit double figures as United outdueled Cambria Heights, 57-44. Delaney Perrone and Maddie McGinnis each scored 13 for the Lions and Mollee Fry and Lilly McGinnis each had 12. For the Highlanders, Gracey Vinglish had 18.
Unbeaten Portage is 7-0 after a 54-27 rout of Conemaugh Valley. Alex Chobany had 14 for the Mustangs. Illyana D’Arcangelo had 13 for the Blue Jays.
Conemaugh Township beat Northern Cambria, 44-12 as Jenna Brenneman scored 17 points with 15 rebounds.
RIFLE
Indiana topped Avella in another close one, 782-30x to 741-22x. Top shooter for Indiana was Ethan Coleman with a 99-6x.
