On Wednesday night, the Penns Manor School Board discussed upcoming negotiations between the district and their support staff.
Superintendent Daren Johnston said that negotiations between the two sides are scheduled to start next month as the contract will expire at the end of the 2023-24 fiscal year.
In other business, the board approved a resolution not to raise taxes in the 2024-25 budget above the PA Department of Education index, which for Penns Manor is 7.8%. Johnston said he does not anticipate the board coming anywhere close to that number if taxes do need to be raised in the district.
The board also approved the resignation of Lisa Donatelli as the head varsity volleyball coach, Robert Paronish as the assistant varsity volleyball coach and Carson Rhea as strength and conditioning coach.
