On Monday night, the Purchase Line school board examined and approved the qualifications for high school students to be on honor roll and high honor roll.
Superintendent Patricia Berezanky said that for this school year, the qualifications for honor roll and high honor roll had changed from the student’s QPA score to a different system.
While the board agreed to change it back to the QPA system, an option to change the rules to forbid C grades or lower for either honor roll or high honor roll, failed to pass. A second option that would allow a C on the honor roll only passed 4-3.
In other business, the board unanimously approved upgrading the internet bandwidth at the school via IU28/DQE to 1 gigabyte per second for an additional $74.40 a month with a category 1 E-rate discount.
The board was also informed by Berezansky that the school received a Helping Kids mini grant of $3500. The money will be used to expand wifi access in some of the large group areas of the school, like the gym and auditorium.
