The Indiana County Commissioners are holding another special public meeting today to discuss the budget.
This marks the third time that the 2024 tentative general fund budget has come up for a vote. The last two times, the budget failed to pass due to a lack of a second. The first draft of the budget had a 1.7 mill tax increase for county residents, while the second draft had a tax increase of 1.19 mils.
The meeting is scheduled for 10:30 this morning at the county commissioners meeting room in the Indiana County Courthouse. The public is invited to attend.
